EDIT: Version 17.04 has now been released, see the post Dell EMC Server Update Utility SUU 17.04 released.
The latest version of Dell Server Update Utility (Dell SUU) 16.12.00 was released on the 15th December 2016. The Dell SUU is an application used to help patch Dell PowerEdge servers. It will compare currently installed drivers and firmware with those available on the mounted iso file.
Dell now have a product support page for the Server Update Utility which can be found on the link below.
The Dell Server Update Utility SUU 16.12.00 release can be downloaded below in 32bit format or 64bit format. The 64bit only supports 12G and 13G.
Note in this release SuSE Linux Enterprise Server 12 SP2 x64 is now supported.
I had trouble finding the update again on some PowerEdge server product pages, and enlisted Dell’s twitter account @DellCaresPRO to help and they pointed me in the right direction. However, you can create a custom SUU and specify servers you want to include, which I will document in another post shortly.
The SUU should be found in the System Management section on the Drivers and Downloads page for your server, I’d recommend checking there first to make sure you get the latest version for your server. If you can’t find it use the links above.
