How to fix Adobe Lightroom can’t start because MSVCR110.dll is missing error after Windows 10 Upgrade

After recently upgrading my laptop from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10 everything appeared to be in working order until I tried to start Adobe Lightroom.

I received the error message: “The program can’t start because MSVCR110.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix the problem.”

MSVCR110.dll is part of Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable 2012 so I downloaded the software from the link: Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2012 Update 4

Selected the 64 bit version.

Run the vcredist_x64.exe.

Selected repair.

Checked it completed correctly, and close the installer.

I was then able to start Adobe Lightroom 6.
