A few days ago Veeam released Update 3 for the latest version of their Backup and Replication software.
The update includes full support for Windows 10 VMs and support for VMware vSphere v6.0 Update 1. See the Knowledge base article kb2068 for a list of fixes and enhancements.
This is great timing for me as I’ve just deployed a Windows 10 VM to our Hyper-V infrastructure and came up against the error message:
“Task failed Error: Wrong IP address The following Msvm_KvpExchangeDataItem.Name keys are deprecated: NetworkAddressIPv4, NetworkAddressIPv6, RDPAddressIPv4, and RDPAddressIPv6. Please configure guest IP addresses using Msvm_GuestNetworkAdapterConfiguration.”
After installing Update 3 and retrying the job it worked straight away.
Please remember to reboot the server and stop any Veeam services prior to the update installation.
