Microsoft Edge is the new default browser in Windows 10, but if you would prefer (or need) to use Internet Explorer in Windows 10 then here’s how.
There are a few different ways to open Internet Explorer in Windows 10.
The easiest is to type Internet Explorer in the Search box, then click the Internet Explorer Desktop app option highlighted at the top.
If you use IE regularly you can right click the Internet Explorer desktop app, and select Pin to taskbar.
The second way to open Internet Explorer in Windows 10 is from the Start menu, browse to Start – All Apps – Windows Accessories – then click Internet Explorer.
And finally you can type Windows Key + R to bring up the run dialogue box, and type iexplore, and click OK.
To set Internet Explorer as your default browser, type Default Programs into the Search box. Then click Default Programs Desktop app at the top.
Then scroll to Internet Explorer and highlight it on the left hand side, and click Set this program as default.
