In this post we will look at how to reset Internet Explorer 11 to default settings.
As ever with Microsoft there are a couple of different ways to get to the same end result. So we’ll start off by assuming you are running Internet Explore in Desktop Mode on Windows 7, 8, or 8.1.
Click the Tools menu icon (the cog in the top righthand corner), and select Internet Options.
Click the Advanced tab.
Click Reset again. I wouldn’t select the Delete personal settings unless you don’t mind losing the data the dialogue box mentions.
You may need to restart your computer for the settings to take effect.
Method 2
If you run Internet Explorer in Chromeless mode from the Windows 8 Start Screen, the quickest way to get to Internet Options is to type Internet Options.
Click the Internet Options, then following the instructions in Method 1.
